In this section we would be putting Engineering Data for improving the knowledge of the society at large. Please find below the typical stress-strain curve for ductile materials such as Mild Steel. This curve shows the yield point, where the plastic deformation of the material starts. After the ultimate load, the necking the material starts and finally it breaks at lesser load than the ultimate load.
