Job Description
As a junior plant and machinery valuer, your job profile would involve learning and assisting senior valuers in various aspects of the valuation process. Here’s an overview of what your role might entail:
- Assistance in Inspections: You would assist senior valuers in conducting inspections of machinery and equipment. This involves learning how to assess the condition, functionality, and overall quality of the assets.
- Data Collection: Gathering relevant information and data about the machinery and equipment being valued. This could include specifications, maintenance records, usage history, and other pertinent details.
- Market Research Support: Assisting in market research activities to gather information on industry trends, pricing data, and comparable sales to help determine the market value of the assets.
- Documentation and Record-keeping: Learning how to maintain accurate records and documentation of valuation activities, including inspection reports, data sheets, photographs, and other relevant documents.
- Data Analysis: Supporting senior valuers in analysing collected data and information to help determine the appropriate valuation methodologies and approaches to be used.
- Report Preparation: Assisting in the preparation of valuation reports under the guidance of senior valuers. This may involve compiling data, drafting sections of the report, and ensuring that all necessary information is included.
- Client Interaction: Learning how to effectively communicate with clients to understand their valuation needs, gather additional information, and provide updates on the valuation process.
- Continued Learning: Actively engaging in ongoing training and professional development activities to expand your knowledge of valuation methodologies, industry standards, and relevant regulations.
- Quality Assurance: Participating in quality assurance processes to ensure that valuation reports meet the required standards of accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborating with other team members, including senior valuers, engineers, and administrative staff, to ensure smooth coordination and execution of valuation projects.
Overall, as a junior plant and machinery valuer, your role would involve learning the ropes of the valuation process, gaining hands-on experience under the guidance of experienced professionals, and gradually taking on more responsibilities as you develop your skills and expertise in the field.
Desired Candidate Profile
The desired candidate should be dynamic and should take ownership in the activities carried out by him in the inspection and valuation process. The candidates should have excellent communication skills. We would train the candidate about interacting with the prospects / client organizations while providing our professional services.
